July 10: Glasses Glued, Heatwave Knocked Down a Peg

Crazyglue worked, my glasses are reunified, and, most gloriously, the temperature is at least fifteen degrees cooler than yesterday.  Hope we get more rain.  On a coincidentally related note, over the past couple of days I’ve worked on revising/editing/arranging a group of poems into a new chapbook manuscript, tentatively titled “Talking About The Weather.”  I’ve also submitted poems to two places electronically AND to one place via snail-mail.  So, all told, good times.  Last night there was a reading by visiting writer Gary Lutz; a few of the resident writers will be reading from their work on Sunday evening.  That’s all I’ve got.

When I was walking across the temporary bridge (now closed) I noticed it had been tagged.
